A weblog is
usually a personal website where individuals can publish whatever they want to
share with others. Weblogs are commonly known as blogs. “To blog” can also be
used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Most blogs are
text based but often combine with images and links to websites and other blogs
and media related to its topic.
Blogs reflect
the opinions, thoughts and ideas of the people. Many blogs provide commentary or
news on a particular subject. Sometimes they are related to academic sites or
subjects, in order to develop in depth discussions about specific fields.
The weblog
seems popular because the viewer knows that information is updated every day,
with personal points of view and as an opportunity to participate and
collaborate, sharing texts, graphics, videos, power points presentations and
links.
Weblog is very useful to explain a topic in a class,
it is a e-learning material where teachers use it as a tool for their teachings
embedding videos of YouTube, images, graphics, photos and a lot of resources to
be implemented during the class.
Using blogs are very importance, it generates
knowledge of a specific topic (whatever you want to explain) and very easy to
make and free to post on the internet. Blogs can be used at undefined ways with
different purposes, such as share your experience in a trip, novels, poems, science,
music, and much more!
